View Full Version : Installing Imagemagick help please

I've downloaded imagemagick version number 6.3.6 Q16, used winrar to unpack it but I can't find any install buttons have I downloaded the wrong one, if not how do I install it on my pc. Or has anyone got a link to a version that work's. Also any help on how to do stuff on it, would be very gratefully received, I want to make my own mousekeeping envelope's.

I've never done anything like this before and need some help please.

If you want to try Imagemagic then go to this site (http://www.smudge-it.co.uk/pub/imagemagick/windows/) and download the one near the bottom called ImageMagic-6.3.6-1.zip which is the latest version.

Then un-zip it to somewhere where you can find it maybe to the desktop then just double click on the exe file and it should install.

Hiya, I haven't got image magick to work for a few weeks :angry: i have sent them an e-mail to see what the problem is :(
i haven't tryed to down load it,

I've downloaded it and put in office docs, un zipped it, I just need to double click the exe file, but which one is that, I'm very new to all of this.

This is the site (http://www.imagemagick.org/script/binary-releases.php#windows) that I should have given you. If you download

ImageMagick-6.3.6-1-Q16-windows-dll.exe

there is only one file to double click on when it's downloaded.

I know mine too. I clicked on file and open and got a picture on it and have rotated it around abit, but that's all, maybe that's all you can do with it.
Maybe we need another programme to make things then use this one to flip the image to print things for t-shirt transfers.

Ops, I've never used ImageMagic, so I can't really help you. Did you try Gimp, I know that one works.

I've not had chance to try it just yet, I've been in the lounge, just joined as a pass holder, the drinks are on me, (that's what that lots say in there ;) ), come and join us I owe you quite afew ;) .

Thank you Paul. I had alittle go before and nearly made a picture with writing on it, I had abit off trouble saving it, but I need to practise more, I'll let you know if I manage to make one, I'll have it as my avatar to show you.
