My wife and I have been invited to my cousins wedding near Niagra Falls next August and wondered if anyone had been to that area before and if they could post up who they flew with and where they stayed. We have never been to this part of the world before as most holidays are spent with Mickey and Minnie :)

We went in 2004. We flew with Canadian Affair (http://www.canadian-affair.com/). I believe zoom also do cheap flights. We spent 4 nights in Toronto and 2 at Niagara Falls. We had a hire car and drove between the two (it took about half a day if I remember rightly) We loved Toronto. It was very relaxed, easy to get around using their underground. Niagara Falls itself is really tacky, although the falls are fabulous. A bit further up the lake, Niagara on the Lake is wortha day trip as it is much more elegant and really pretty.

HTH!

Hi Micky,

We went to Canada for our Honeymoon, did a bit of a tour, stayed a few days in Toronto. Try to eat at the CN Tower restaurant just for the views alone, although the food was very good as I remember.

Niagra on the Lake is also well worth a visit as Belle has said, very beautiful, my wife was house hunting!!!!

Niagra Falls are awesome but not much else there to do.

If your into sport try and catch either a hockey game or baseball game depending on when seasons start/end.

Have a great time, we did, stayed at the Best Western off Young Street but nearer the waterfront is a nicer location, though ours was nice. Eaton Centre good for shoppaholics.

Cheers, hope this helps,

Hi

We went at the end of May to Toronto for 2 nights and then Niagara for 2 nights. Flew with Air Transat - no frills airline but were very good. No seatback tvs but really comfortable seats! Stayed just off Dundas Square in Bond Place Hotel - really good. Nice restaurant for breakfast and a 5 minute walk to the Eaton Centre and subway. CN Tower is a must.

We stayed at the Skyline Hotel at Niagara. Again a basic hotel but very clean and comfortable. It was a block back from the falls so no falls view but spent very little time in the room.

Maid of the Mist is brilliant and another must do. As others have said Niagara on the Lake is really pretty. We did the jetboat trip over the rapids and loved it! Tip is to take a change of clothes as you get drowned despite all the gear they give you to wear.

Niagara is a big Vegas if you know what I mean. The Victoria Park is beautiful for half an hour chill and they have amazing squirrels there - very tame and different colours!

Can't give you any prices I'm afraid for the flight or hotel as was lucky enough to win the trip through my job. I just know we paid an extra £12 each for an extra night at Niagara! Didn't need a car. Had a coach transfer to Niagara then took a taxi to N on the L and back.

Have a good time!
