Anyone recommend hotels in Bangkok, reasonbably priced up to about £50 per night.

Also are there good tours to be booked?

Thanks

The marriott resort and spa - lovely. A bit more than £50.00 I think. We have been to Thailand 4 times now. Bangkok - are you going to stay there when you land or on the way back. We normaly stay there on the way back. Last time (3 weeks ago- I love thailand) we stayed in Bangkok for 3 nights, four days. Once you have done all the temples once you don't need to do them again.

Hope this helps if you want anything else just ask.

Hi we stayed at the Arnoma

http://bangkok-hotelguide.com/hotels/Thailand/Bangkok/Pratunam/factSheet.php?hotelID=6&gclid=CPT67-DPjo8CFQHolAod8hyWVw

It was very central to everything and about 5 secs walk to the town! Across the road was a big shopping Centre and cinema etc. We were there for 3 days and it wasnt long enough

Just read some of the reviews on that site, please dont take any notice it was a lovely hotel and the staff couldnt have been more friendly and helpful. They do a buffet breakfast but at £7 unless you like a big breakfast i thought it was a bit expensive (im a tea and toast girl!)

We stayed 4 nights last year in the Century Park (£36 per night) near Victoria Monument. Great 4 star and the night market around the corner from the hotel was the best (for prices)we have been to in Thialand - not many Europeans there the nights that we went. £50 should get you a reasonably good hotel.

Another vote for the Marriott Resort & Spa. You can find it on asiarooms.com from £67 per night.

For tours, we booked a private tour which was exceptional.

Sorry can't help, we stayed at the Sawasdee Hotel just off Sukhumvit and it cost us the extortionate price of £6 per night!!! :thumbs-up
