Printing in Black & White

Is it possible to print using only the black ink in a colour inkjet printer.

Is there something simple to do?

I am thinking particularly when I work with Microsoft Word or with PDFs.

when you click on print, click on properties and select greyscale printing

depends on the printer if it uses 2 or more cartridges at the same time then yes. if its only 1 then it usally comes out a dark brown

if you set the printer properties in the printers folder rather than in a program, it will be that as default on everything
