Driver Problems.

Hi I posted this a while ago but am still having problems.

ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 series.

My screen has started to go black when I leave to computer after a while and when I move the mouse it takes ages to come back to the desk top. I also got a message saving 'Serious Driver Error'. Since then I have gone on ATI and tried to download the newest relevant Driver but I only get so far and then it says:

INF error
Video driver not found

then:

Setup was unable to complete the install
Try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup.

I have tried and think I am going to have to take it into the shop now - any ideas before I do ?

firstly it sounds like its just going into sleep mode, mine does that if no screensave is selected which is normal.

is the ati software thats installed showing up in add and remove programs? if it is un-install it and download the latest driver and software from the amd/ati site, save it to the hdd then run setup from there
