son is desperate to go to a basketball game sadly the harlem globetrotters who are appearing at the braehead are there on a thursday (school night ) and too far for me to drive there and back for game !! (WIMP - I KNOW)
so i thought of going whilst in florida
as there is only my son (who will be 8) and i going i am a bit worried as i hear it is in a not so desirable area
we are staying i-drive area so is it better to go on an organised trip or can i do it reasonably in a taxi
any approx costs would be helpful

we did a organised trip through ATD, was £48 each, great seats and pick up from your hotel for that, if you want to do it cheaper, you can book tickets thru ticket master i think cheapest are only bout $18 or $20 each, and its not that far from idrive so a a taxi wouldnt be all that much, you can get a quote off quicksilver or mears to give you a better idea.

I've been to countless games and would comfortably say that making your way to the Arena would be just fine. I generally suggest that you valet (to avoid crowds and confusion on parking) across the street at the Marriott. If you are taking a taxi this wouldn't be a problem either.

You can book tickets through ticketmaster and collect them at the will call window. Tickets are very affordable and the games are a lot of fun.
