I work for a company who use netgear routers and I have a set of instructions I created to set up a netgear router, if you need it sending send me a PM and and your e-mail address and I will e-mail it to you but looking at the microsoft settings they should work without much problem

Thanks for the link.
I tried to set up a netgear router last night - after 4 attempts following the set up on the disc, I gave up.
Hopefully the Microsoft site will sort out the problem.

I have helped two people with Netgear wireless routers and both their problems was that when they were trying to setup the router with a network cable directly connected to the router, the network card in their PC/laptop was disabled.
