Hi All,

Does anyone know where I could go for the fastest go-karting available around Orlando?? I've had a quick look on google and the fastest karts I've seen are in tampa bay (45mph)! Anyone know anywhere closer to Orlando?

GF and sister are having a day at DC so me and GF's brother thought we'd have some fun on the track!!

Thanks dibbers!!

my Oh and friend went karting in the old town, they have 3 karting tracks and he said they were fun, also they have a drag racing car that shoots you up at 110mph in under 2 secs i think it was and the horror on peoples face was amazing to watch

jcjcjc,
Thanks for the reply!

Is this the park you mentioned?...http://www.old-town.com/attractions.html

There does appear to be go-karting at the park but it seems to be aimed more towards kids!

Anyone else!!

Thanks
Tom

Have a look at Fun Spot Orlando, it's quite good fun go -karts arent as fast as 45mph but it is an interesting track!

I dont think there are any 'pro' go carts in Orlando itself, there is a track over towards Daytona, Ill try and dig out the details.

Put it this way my OH was a bike racer and he said they are crazy on there as i think it was about 30 to a race, he says its great fun, 3 interesting tracks plus like i said that crazy drag car.
However the old town is a superb place to go even more so on a saturday night with the old cars and live music.
hope you enjoy it there if you go

we have used the one on the east end of the 192 - can't remember the name, also has a bit where you can feed small crocodiles. The track is a good bit longer then the one in Old Town, but you have to stop at the end of each lap to get your wrist band marked as they count the laps - think they could have a more hi-tech method in 2007.

Thanks for all the help!

I think I'll plan to travel down to Tampa as I think I will be having a lot more fun there. I went to Fun Spot action last time off International Drive so I'm looking for something with a bit more of an adrenaline rush!

Hi Tom

My DS (10) is really disappointed with the fact that he has to be older to cart on his own in Orlando. He competes in Junior races at home and would love to have a go. The only one I have seen in Orlando is Fun spot on International Drive and also caught side of one off the 192. Great idea though.

Take a look at Tri City Kart Club's (http://www.tricitykartclub.com/) website. They are in Tampa so they might be able to help you find what you are looking for.

Hi

No it's still stopping after every lap, but at least it gives the wife a chance to catch up ;)

Good long track as well :wavey:
