I am on the work computer as despite having a connection at home I can't get on-line? I get an error when I try to open Firefox and if I try to send/receive on OE I get the above error Ox800CCC0D. This just suddenly happend as I was last night quite happily dibbing away when all of a sudden it just stopped connecting to links I was trying to get into?

Can anyone help? I am with pipex and I have looked on their page and checked my account status which seem to be fine although it does say that there weere problems with the service on the 28th but nothing about yesterday.

Help please...... I'm lost without my internet access and e-mails

Thanks Kes - I just found that page as well so have printed it off at work and will take it home and see if I can solve the problem?? The strange thing is that no setting have been changed, I was actually in the middle of dibbing when it all went pear shaped :confused2

The reason I asked is the Virgin Media have been having problems in our area which resemble the same as you had, I checked the Pipex server status (http://www.hosting-status.pipex.net/) and there appears to be nothing wrong, but it does sound like the service has gone off line at the moment, is there anyone at home who can try it for you to see if you are still having the same problem?

No Paul I'll have to wait till I get home later this afternoon. It has not been working since about 10ish last night and I checked again this morning>

If you are using a router try switching it off for a few minutes then back on again and see if it will burst into life.
