Sorry guys I don't know what box I've ticked or unticked but apparently I can't receive PM's anymore? It's probably staring my in the face but I just can't see the wood for the trees at the moment.
Thanks. :wavey:

Just click on 'user CP' and then 'edit options' and click to receive emails in 'messaging and notifications'.

Thanks Jill ......I've got both the 'admin' and 'other members' as ticked/enable plus the box for enabling pm's ticked....infact I haven't changed those options since joining but on a recent thread when asking for a code Steve (highlander) said he couldn't PM me :erm:
BTW I've noticed your going soon for your birthday....if I don't catch up with you again before then....just want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY & have a great trip :o:

Ah ha looked again and I'd ticked enable PM's only from Buddies and Mods .
Problem solved ....stupid me just had to talk myself back through it and not be so impatient. :erm:

Sorry I'm a dimwit - thought you said emails not PMs, although sounds as if you should be OK.
Thanks for the best wishes, it's my birthday the day we fly (9th) - I think my son's been on the computer looking up the telephone numbers for ordering champagne and cake for the flight - so should be interesting.
I've sent you a PM to see if it's working.
If there's anything you need whilst I'm out there, just let me know.

I agree what a lovely thoughtful son you have Jill. :thumbs-up
I kinda get the impression that it's supposed to be a birthday suprise though Jill ;)

He is sweet, although for someone who's a computer expert he didn't think to clear the pages when he'd finished. He doesn't read the forum so I'll look thrilled and will be anyway.

Carole you can't possibly wait until then, you need to work your charms on Dave and meet up with us again in April. Wear your avatar costume - should do the trick ;)

Yep that's right....Machen.... :o: & it's only a small village too....how did you two meet? Ask your hubby if he knows an old coaching inn called THE RISING SUN up by the railway (now a cycle track)
P.S. Have a great trip it'll probably be Easter before we go back but my mum & dad are hoping to spend Jan & Feb there just need the all clear from the doctor.

Have you lived there all your life Karen?
My DMIL and DFIL are coming with us to Florida when we go ~ they live in Llantrisant and most of my DH's family are still living in South Wales so we go there at least once a year ...
My brother just bought at house there too so we did have a little look at some house prices in Machen the other day as a 'what if'??!!
Maybe we will get to meet one day!
Hope your mum and dad manage to get out there in Jan/Feb.... I don't know when we will go back again. We have holiday plans for next year but unfortunately at the moment they don't include FL!!

We've lived here for 3 years which is the longest I've lived anywhere since being a grown up :omg: I get terribly itchy feet and as soon as I get something just right it's time for the next project. For the last 10 years we've moved house one year then the business premises the next until now ......which as my eldest has just started High School we really need to stay put hence our other ventures ..... we've also just had the footings/foundations for garages and offices above .....it's never a dull day with us :spin:
I'm really overdue for a declutter....loads of the kids toys have gone....lots of clothes too .....next are the attics....not looking forward to that :confused2
If your ever passing by you are more than welcome to call in :wavey:

WOW! We have something else in common too then!!! I think I was at house no 16 on the last count!! I am (only) 35??!!! (7 houses in the last 5 years?!)We will be moving again in Summer 2009 all being well although this move I am really looking forward to!
We have friends who still live in Machen so we may well pop by and say hello one of those days!! I think we will next be there in April. I am guessing you are self employed?!
I will ask DH if he knows The Rising Sun when he gets home from work. Better go and get organised ~ DD will be home from school in a mo. Good 'speaking' to you!
