View Full Version : psp?
Just wondered if they are cheaper in FL and can we use UK games on them??
Where is the best place to buy one??
Thank you
Jane
They are cheaper and you can use the games but not the films . My kids hardly use theirs i think they are a bit of a " white elephant " tbh

my big kid ( DH ) bought one for himself from a shop on I Drive which was cheaper than here .. We saw them advertised in Walmarts ( which was the cheapest price we saw ) but when we enquired about them was told they were out of stock
oh and by the way my DS (11)never goes anywhere without it
I do feel the PSP is a machine for children 10+ younger children (mine) love the Nintendo DS. Despite my son starting with a PSP, he soon got bored with games which are more in depth generally (maybe he was too lazy to learn them).
The PSP is far more a multimedia tool so I nicked it off him instead.
I think the PSP is a great device. I rarely play games on mine, use it for showing photos, playing videos and music plus surfing the web. With an extra battery pack, I generally watch at least 2 full length films on it during a flight.

My DS (13) bought the new psp lite in walmart with a free game and then got a load of games, mainly in a game shop in Millenia Mall for a fraction of the price he would have paid over here. He only uses it for games and he would be on it 24 hours a day if we let him. He doesn`t use it for anything else yet like surfing the web or even movies, but he has certainly got his money`s worth. DH loves to play on it too when he can persuade ds to let him! Yes games from over here will play just the same. :wavey:
He also got the extra battery pack in walmart, but then we saw it cheaper in the mall shop(half price) so took it back to walmart for refund.Just the battery pack not the actual psp.

DS got the new psp slim and lite, a 1GB memory stick, a game that would have cost $30 and a movie all for $200 in walmart. The movies are still regionalised but not games. He thought it was a real bargain and loves it :wavey:

I bought mine in the States and can't play UK UMD movies on it as they are regiona encoded but I don't buy them anyway. I convert movies and DVDs, transfer them to the PSP memory stick and watch any movie I want.
