We went in Sept 06 and WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had the bestest day ever.
We arrived, gorgeous day, really warm and so we just opted for the vests, we were fine btw, the water in with the dolphins was cool (not freezing though) and it was fine everywhere else.
I hadn't told dbf what we were doing so we arrived and when they told us what time our dolphin swim was his face was a picture.
We had brekkie, very nice, juice, muffins, pastries etc then had a wander around and a swim round the lazy river before our swim.
The swim was ace :) our dolphin was lovely and so was the trainer.
The rays were really eery but amazing, and the fish, wow wow.
Try the peels, its fab.
Sorry to go on but had such a good day

Awwww fantastic! You'll have such a wonderful time! :)
I dragged my sister along to DC (4th October this year) and we had the most amazing time! Just the two of us having a chilled girlie day out!
I'm not a strong swimmer (infact, I'm jiggered after swimming a length of a standard pool) I'm also edgy about fish swimming around me and had never used a snorkle before so I was really rather nervous. ROFL - makes you wonder what on earth I was thinking of, booking a day out like that!? :erm: It took about 10 minutes to get over the shock and fear of trying to breathe underwater then away sis and I both went!
BTW - The water isnt *that* cold - just feels it when you've been out in the sunshine and you'll be having such a great time you wont even care ;)
DC is top of my hit list next time we go :) I'm sitting here grinning like a :ccat just thinking about our day there....

We went Oct this year and it was fantastic.
If you can get a cabanna. It is secluded and a base to keep all your things, you get a fridge, sun loungers, chairs and tables and a waitress to keep you stocked up on drinks and snacks!!
Amasing day enjoy

Just 2 things to add to my earlier comment-
Next time we go I'll be trying to book the Trainer for the Day option as I think you get more interaction with the dolphin.
Also you'll stink after your day at DC so make sure you take plenty of nice smelly shower gel with you as well as your favourite smelling shampoo and conditioner and be prepared to stay in the shower a while! When I say Stink I mean you'll have an odd aroma about you which isnt the nicest thing I've ever got a wiff of! We didnt really notice it until the end of the day when we got out of the water and started to dry off.
In fact, my sister felt quite queasy and claimed she could still detect the smell for a few days afterwards on her skin even after several showers.... Between you me and the gatepost - I think she just smells odd anyway - but dont go telling her I said so ;) rofl

I booked our dolphin experience direct through discoverycove.com There's a link so you can make your booking over the internet and phone numbers if you'd rather do it that way. We did ours on the net. You'll get some paperwork emailed to you which you present to DC when you go.

we are same as you, looking at booking for april o8, for when we are going floridatix seem to be the cheapest at the moment for what we want ie the ultimate with 14 days at sw, bg and aquatica, they are marginally cheaper than direct with discovery cove itself.

Got to Discoverycove.com - you'll find the prices there and can book it online :)
Wish I could persuade DH to take me again next year! I suspect the next time we'll go will be for our 50th birthdays - but at least I've got a few years to save!

Thank you for all my replies, sorry I have not responded sooner but my pc broke  Have now brought a new one so here I again
We booked direct on the Discovery Cove website, we have waited to 2008 to go because we want to do the swim as a family so we had to wait till my DD will be six. We saw friends photo's from their trip when she was about 6 months old and have wanted to do it ever since. So we are very very excited.
:pgig: We have booked to go on October 2nd 2008 :pgig:
