Hi - I'm a newbie and myself, my husband and our 3 daughters are booked for our first trip in April 08 (5-19)
I want to book Discovery Cove tickets and am frantically trawling the net to try to get the best deal - can anyone advise on that?
My head is now spinning and I'm desperately trying to work out which tickets would be best for the res of our visit.
I have been told by a friend not to try and do all the Universal and Disney parks in the one fortnight but I'm not sure that we will be going back again so really want to make the most of our 2 weeks.
Should we go for 7 day tickets or not and which are the best parks (our girls are 14, 12 and 10) and again - which is the best site to buy them from?
I would be so grateful for any advice
Thanks

Hi and Welcome to the Dibb :wavey:
First we booked dc on there own site as you only need to pay a small deposit instead of having to pull all the money out at once, brilliant day.
For other tickets we have always used Attraction tickets direct but the are lots of other sites for you to check prices with and also some do price match.
We alway get 7day premium as they have water parks on and they last for 14 days so you dont need to use them within a week.
We went for the 1st time last year me dh and ds 14 and done all the parks except bush gardens in 2 weeks and were completly shattered, saying that we still done the same this year but at a more relaxing pace as we knew what we liked and what we wanted to see etc.
We said we would only go the once so cram everything in ,then when we came back shattered went for a week to salou and hated it so that was it we booked to go back.
Someone else will be along with more info for you in a minute :wavey:

Hi
were going too from 5-19th april !!! I have looked into this several times and for what we want ie the swim and 14 days at seaworld, busch gardens and aquatica, then floridtix are coming out the cheapest, and are reccomended on here.
They are slighter cheaper than booking direct with dc where of course u can pay a depost with though.
I even looked at the difference of just doing the swim and having 7 days at seaworld but for when we are going then the ultimate ticket which we looking at is only £20pp more expensive and your getting 14 days at sw bg and aquatica. Hope this helps , maybe see u there. :d:
I agree u shouldnt try to do everything during the 14 days, and if you are doing dc then seaworld is taken care of too.
we only fancy epcot this year so we are thinking of just buying a one day ticket at the gate, or a 2 day and possible include animal kingdom.
Im sure the girls will enjoy most parks at their ages.

Hi, welcome to the Dibb!

Hi and welcome to the dibb  we are also going 7th -21st April 2008.
I would do as scottishmum has advised and buy the ultimate ticket for DC, to include Seaworld, Busch gardens and Aquatica.
For Universal/IOA there is a 7 consecutive day ticket here (http://secure.universalstudios.com/webstore/shop/ticket-selection.aspx?Merchant=UOMainOnline&SalesCategoryGroup=UOMain&SalesCategory=UOTPTLive) and is only available online.
I intend buying the above ticket for 3 of our party as I already have an annual pass.
For other passes there is a thread here (http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=129613)

Hi and welcome
I've not long joined the DIBB , but although we've been to orlando twice once with and once without the children , I'm picking up loads of tips and advice. It's worth sitting down and deciding which parks you want to do and then see how many days they amount to, try and allow for a couple of days rest in between all I can say is that you will want to do all the disney parks, maybe MK twice and 2 maybe 3 days universal and with your full day at DC you usually get SW or BG free I would also try and fit a water park in aswell Aquatica is opening in march and I think there are deals with your DC tickets. you will be shattered but it is worth it!
good luck with your planning.

Do you think this is too much to fit into 14 days?
Disney Ultimate
Discovery Cove (basic inc Seaworld)
2 park - 7 day Universal
Picked Disney ultimate 14 days as not much price difference from the 7 day as far as I could see.
DC - would go basic as not sure we'd manage BG and Aquatica aswell as everything else.
Universal 2 park - 7 day seemed like a good way of doing the 2 main parks.
Would love to hear your thoughts and advice please?

Sounds like a good plan :thumb: With the disney 14 day ultimate you can come and go as you please to the 4 main theme parks and the two water parks. You could even just visit a park to watch the fireworks one evening and you won't feel as though you have wasted a day.
Just remember the Universal/IOA ticket is 7 consecutive days. We normally do a day at each park and then go back another day to do the best bits.
Seaworld for us needs 2 days... we love this park.
Save BG and Aquatica until the next visit ;)

We are going for 18 days for the first time in january,as we are almost sure we will want to go back we sat down with the girls and talked about what we would like to do,
Decided on the 14 day Disney ticket and seaworld tickets ,the girls are really looking forward to shoping and we would also like a drive to the coast one day .
We thought long and hard and we dont want to be rushing around trying to see every thing and missing too much so have decided to concentrate on Disney this time and Do Universal next time .
We also have the option of buying Universal tickets when we are out there if we really cant resist !!
Everyone is different and you know your family best ,I know mine are a lazy bunch and will appreciate taking thing a bit slower.
