Hello all, are the nintendo wii that you can buy in the states compatable ? If not is there a convertor you can buy ? Would be grateful if anyone has the answers. :confused2
Or does anyone know if the ones you can buy in Japan are compatable ? Thanks :smile:

Nintendo Wii is regional locked. The ones you can buy in America and Japan are not compatible to the Wii machines that you can purchase in Europe.

Depends what you mean by compatible, if you mean are they compatible with our TVs the answer is largely yes if your TV is not too old as most have built in NTSC conversion or HDMI connection.

If you mean with our power supply the answer is yes with a converter.

If you mean with games from Europe then No.

We were clearly told that Wii's sold in the USA for the USA market are NOT compatible for use in the UK and we were told that by owners of shops in the USA.
