We've tried various places to eat now, and still haven't found anywhere that can match the food at Longhorn on the 192.

Whilst we were there a couple of weeks ago they also introduced a new menu with more choice. Some lovely dishes but you can't beat their 22oz Longhorn Porterhouse - delicious!

Not too many tourists in there - mainly Americans which says a lot for the food.

After trying the likes of Ponderosa when we went the first time - we would never go near that type of meal again - I appreciate that some love it but not for us.

Also enjoyed Chilis...

Also found the Burgers at Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock very disappointing - they were ok but nothing special. Meat was ok but hated the Bread especially at Planet Hollywood.

We always used to go to the Longhorn, but a few years ag we found Logan's Steakhouse, which we fell is better. They have 2 resturants one on the 192 which is ok but the one on Sand Lake Road is brilliant... ;)

I like Longhorns too :thumbs-up can't go to Logans due to the peanut thing :(

I remember one waitress we had there (party of 13 with 6 seperate checks :omg: ) who wrote nothing down .. she said so long as noone switches seats she was ok ..... I thought gee this is gonna be great ..how many mistakes :( not one! she was brilliant and I still don't know how she remembered everything cos our orders are never 'simple' LOL

thanks for these - I don't often order steak in the US, but was thinking I really should next time; I was thinking this while cooking a couple this evening. Logan's sounds good and we go down Sand Lake quite each visit.

We had the 22oz Longhorn Porterhouse on numerous occasions $23.95 - not bad for a steak of that size!
