Hi dibbers
On our recent trip to mouseland really fancied bringing home 1 or 2 of the big Disney snow globes . However with all the bagage restrictions didn't fancy putting them in the cases incase of damage.
Has anyone posted goods back home from Orlando, do Disney ship and did you have any customs duty to pay once here.
Thanks guys . Gary :spin:

Disney do ship but not sure how cheap it would be. You are more than likley to be charged customs.

Last time we bought lots of Xmas presents and were so paranoid about weight in the cases we posted them.
We went to the PO in Celebration who were really helpful and had loads of boxes, packing tape etc.
We thought we'd save some money and send it surface which they said took up to 6 weeks.
It took 10 weeks to receive and next time I would definitely go with express shipping, it's really not as expensive as you think and we did not have any customs charges.

can't remember what disney charged for shipping, but it wasn't too expensive

disney do shipping and it is very reasonable i bought an item for 150 dollars and cost me 100 to ship home but i could have had up to the value of 250 dollars for the 100 dollar shipping fee.

Haven't shipped new goods but once shipped back worn clothes so there was room for new purchases - we went for the slow post as we were not in a hurry. :)

Hi
WE BROUGHT A SNOW GLOBE HOME THIS YEAR AND LOOKED INTO DISNEY SHIPPING BUT WOULD HAVE BEEN CHEAPER TO GO TO A LOCAL POSTAL AGENT THAN DISNEY,,HOWEVER WE DECIDED TO RISK IT AND CARRY IT HOME,,,WE GOT DISNEY TO WRAP IT WELL IN BUBBLE WRAP AND WE THEN WRAPPED CLOTHES TOWELS ETC AROUND IT AND PACKED IT INTO A HOLDALL BAG(THIS WAS A LARGE SNOW GLOBE), WHEN WE GOT HOME IT WAS FINE, SO THE RISK PAID OFF

Just got my First Disney Snow Globe :d:
We ordered a Limited Addition Disney Villains Snow Globe with a Pin, we ordered it from dineyshopping.com (USA) on line, we had a discount code from mouse saves, with shipping it came to $106, the price of the snow globe in the UK is £75 but not limited edition, so and todays exchange rate it cost approx £50, we have had to pay £20 import charges, but still works out cheaper.
Hope this helps

we looked into shipping back a couple of big items last year. but the CM told us it was to expensive. she would'nt even look up the price for us just kept saying it was to much to do to uk.
i did say that it was surely my decision as to whether it was to much but because she refused to look up exact price i couldn't get them.
i told her they shouldn't advertise shipping if they were going to refuse to do it. :nonono:

Just been on the UPS site for you and entered a 6lb medium package sent from Orlando to England and it came up with a figure of $120.
6lb is a fair old weight to post. Don't forget you will still have to pay duty at this end.

Just got back and shipped home a Magic Kingdom castle for DDs Christmas. The CMs thought I was mad because the castle cost $70 and the shipping $75 but I HAD to have it!
I was told the shipping would take up to 6 weeks. I ordered it at lunchtime on the final day of my holiday, a Friday. We got home on the Saturday and the castle arrive on the Tuesday. Yes, the shipping was expensive but the service was great and I would use it again.
The shipping is priced according to the value of the goods. My $75 shipping cost was for purchasing goods up to the value of $100 so I bought other Christmas presents for DD and included them to get my money's worth!
