Could someone please tell me what the Spiderman breakfast is like at IOA, thinking of booking for next June. Thankyou.

We really enjoyed this breakfast. The restaurant was pretty quiet when we went in Sept and Spiderman in particular spent ages with the boys. He was chatting with us for a good 10-15 mins and then came around again before we left.
We also had Thing 1 and Thing 2 and the Cat in the Hat. :)
We all enjoyed the food, much the same as the Disney character breakfasts. Although they did have red pancakes which was good fun for the kids. The Texas toast(i think it was called that) was so nice!! :tounge:

The Spiderman interaction is the best character interaction we have had at any meal. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

We booked this breakfast for our trip in May of this year. It was brilliant, the interaction with the characters was fantastic, Spiderman spent about 15 minutes talking to our son. We also had Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and 2. We were not rushed to finish our breakfasts and the characters visited the tables several times. They also posed for photos away from the tables so we didn’t end up with other people in the background. I would highly recommend it, it was the hi-light of our son’s holiday
What restaurant do we book

We are going for the first time when we go this Christmas! weren't going to bother, but after reading reviews/threads on here changed our minds and booked!! Kids are really looking forward to it!! Will make a change for my son who normally ends up doing more girly based character things as he is normally out-voted by his sisters!!

Thankyou for your replies. We have booked the holiday as a surprise for the kids and I have also talked DH into booking one night as RPR, so I think I will definitely book this breakfast for a surprise for all 3 of them.

this sounds fantastic...I can't believe the things we've missed. We had to book Cinderella's Round Table meal something like 180 days before we went...is this the same? I'd love to book this...

The general rule for booking with Universal is 30 days out. However lots of people this year were able to book a few months before. But to be honest when we went in Sept we could have walked up as it wasn't busy at all.
But for peace of mind book at 30 days or try your luck before that.

crikey...wasn't expecting that, assumed it would be much longer, thanks though!
And as you say, for peace of mind I'll book it as soon as I can - any chance Dora turned up? Or if there's a seperate Dora character breakfast or meal? both DDs love Dora!!!

Don't think there is a Dora meal at Universal :( I think you can have a breakfast meal with Dora if you stay at the Nickelodeon hotel :omg: :erm:

I have to say the Spiderman breakfast is definitely one of the best I've been to and I hate to say I think the character interaction was much better than Disney.

I booked for Nov 22 & went with my adult DS as a bit of a joke as he loves all things Marvel and isn't really into disney character meals. We were outside at 9am and when they opened, Spidey & Cat in Hat were at the entrance with plenty of photo ops for everyone!
Thing 1 & Thing 2 came in about 15 mins later and they all came round about 3 times. Spidey was a nice guy who chatted for ages with my DS as he was into Rugby and had Scottish relatives. My son had a pic with Spidey and was persuaded to do the spidey pose which was such a laugh! - my ds was about 10" taller than poor spidey!
The food wasn't as good as Disney character breakfast imo and the service wasn't that great as the waitress was really miserable and could have been a Marvel character herself :omg:- she kept disappearing! I guess because 18% gratuity is added automatically, she didn't feel the need to make an effort. In fairness, I don't think you book it for the food and would defo say the character interaction was brilliant. I saw them spend loads of time with kids and really chat to them and everyone was having a good time. My adult DS thought it was great.:wavey:
