Don't be bringing any wardrobes back, they won't like that at check-in! ;)

It looks like it's going to be very big when we saw it in August.Though DH & I didn't see us going there for reasons mentioned above!

We find it hard enough getting stuff back from Birmingham. Might have to upgrade to UC if we buy furniture

It opens this coming Wednesday. Given the amount of local TV coverage it has been receiving for the past 2 months I'll be staying well clear for the the first week!

As much as I love IKEA (and I spent a fortune in there yesterday), I don't think it's a place I want to go on my holidays. I could see it being handy for the villa owners though.

Long way to return your bookcase when you find out the screws are missing or the wood is split (as happens to us everytime we have bought something in there!).

They've been doing major advertising campaigns as it is the first one for our area. As of yesterday there were two dozen people camping out to be the first ones to go in tomorrow......CRAZY!!!
Wonder what they will have for their cheap breakfast. The one in Lanzarote had croissant or toast with coffee for 1 Euro!!

We have I must admit visited Ikeas in other countries just to see what they are like! I suppose we have been to Fl so often now that our visits are not the mad "I must see/do all of the parks NOW" trips so we probably will pay a visit when it is open. We noticed that the cafes do vary considerably from country to country and some of the kitchen gadgets are different and sometimes cheaper!
I rarely go to the TWO we have within driving distance of where I live now - so not likely to bother going when I'm in Orlando lol
Like Rusty, I have had some bad experiences with wood splintering and not enough fixings supplied, and/or holes not drilled where they should be.
They are good value for kitchen stuff and lamps/light fitting though.

They're opening one down here in Southampton soon - building starts early next year - and you wouldn't believe the hoo haa it's causing. They're putting it right in the middle of town - the traffic is going to be horrendous!
I do love Ikea to admit and spent a fortune whenever I go to the Lakeside one, not sure I'll bother going to the one at Mall at Millenia though. Can't believe people are already queueing to get in! :)

A warning to those of you even contemplating visiting IKEA Orlando in the next few days. DON'T DO IT! The place is absolutely crazy. They have brought in people to supervise parking like the theme parks do. The local schoolkids are off all of this week for Thanksgiving so lots of people going just to have a look.
