Hi, not sure if correct place for post but didnt get great response from last one so will try here.
I'm just wondering about the price for 8 day flex tickets for 2 adults and 1 chilld. I have followed the links here and got various quotes around the £450 mark if recalled correctly. However have been on the WDW resort home page and can get them for $811 (£396).Am i missing something here as this seems a really good deal, only $10 shipping.
Thanks
Jane

I assume you are referring to the Magic Your Way Disney tickets? The flex tickets are for Universal/Seaworld.
Prices on the Disney site do not include tax so don't forget to add that on - you also need to ensur eyou are comparing like with like - ie park hopping/water parks/expiry :)

When are you going, you can get a 14day ultimate disney ticket for £147 or iof you are going next year they are showing around about £160 and if it is for next year you can pay a 20% deposit and if th etickets go down in price you will only pay that price.

If it is the Magic Your Way.. we looked at those too but they have quite a lot of restrictions, no water parks, no hopping etc. You can add these on but by the time you do it was more than getting the 14 day Ultimate which gives you access to everything for the full 14 days (and only costs £10 more for 14 days than 7 days!). The first twice we went we had the Ultimate cos we wanted to have complete freedom to come and go as we wanted... last time we gave Disney a miss and did Universal and other stuff. This time we`re going for the Ultimate Disney and the Universal 4 park plus Aquatica. It will cost a little bit more than buying less days but as I said we want to be able to have complete flexibillity to come and go as we like, not think we`ve only got 2 days left on this and 3 days left on that....

We are going Jan 30th for 10 days. I thought an 8 day wdw with park hopper would be more than enough for us as also have 2 littlies as well. Dont think we want to do seaworld etc as this is our 1st (of many i hope) visit and would like a liitle bit of a holiday!! With regard to the tax, when do you pay that then it does not seem to be included on checkout so i can only assume you have to pay the carrier...... is this right.
The other thing is that they didn't ask for a date of travel and i know 2008 tickets have gone up in price.

IT will be added at the checkout. Don't know about the date thing only that tickets over here are dearer in 2008

Did you add the water parks as well or just the park hopper. Just had a look and the tax is shown at the bottom of the shopping cart

Tax is added on during the checkout process on the Disney website.
MYW tickets are not 'year specific' as the Uk tickets are - buy now, use whenever you want :D

So have rechecked and the tax is added on completion making a total od $821.53 including shipping. This was just going through the ticket link however was not asked a date of travel. When i used a different link clicking a different box i was asked date of travel, for how long and country of origin. Was then given price GBP £475 so i am now very confused and am afraid of booking the wrong thing.

You will usually find that sites like Ticketmania/Maplelear/Undercovertourist offer discounts on the US MYW tickets - why not price tickets from these sites (I have used all 3 for MYW tickets) and see if they are cheaper than buying direct from Disney

I have looked on the Seaworld website and they are doing the flex ticket for next year with Aquatica. You can buy direct and in $'s and it works out about £115 at the moment which is cheaper than any I've found buying in £'s.

The Disneyworld website is normally the most expensive place to buy disney tickets, so make sure you are comparing like with like.

14 day ultimates cost around £149 for 2007, £169 for 2008 - these include hopping & water parks. They are only sold in the UK, and only priced in £s. Try FloridaTix.co.uk

8 day Magic Your Way BASE tickets will not include hopping or water parks.
Mapleleaf are doing the 10 day tickets with Park Hopping for $280, or $800.00 for all 3 of you. They are cheaper because they are for 10 days not 14, and they don't include the water parks.
MYW tickets are sold in the USA and usually priced in $s.

Thanks for all the advice, i have booked with Mapleleaf as they did come out the best value for money, i would never even have heard of them without this site, £396 for 10 day MYW with park hopper. I am very excited!!!!! :d: :d: :d: :spin:

Glad you got it sorted, it is a bit of a mine field when it comes to tickets.
