Has anyone stayed at wilderness lodge and got any recommendations for requesting certain rooms.
I have read that room 7084 is a good room, but think it is a suite.
And also your thoughts about the hotel.

I've eaten at the hotel a few times and what i've seen is absolutely gorgeous! Booked 2 weeks here next Sept, and from everything I've read, both on here and trip advisor, it is a great place to stay!

We stayed there last Christmas but in the DVC villa's. The resort is lovely and one of our favourites. Take some time to just chil in the lobby and watch the world go past or better still take a few drinks up to one of the secret chairs that over look the lobby and just chill

I stayed here back in May and we had a fantastic time. Can't remember which room number we were but we were directly above the lobby facing the pool, lake and geyser and we loved it. You really felt in the thick of it with the hussle and bussle of the lobby and then had fantastic views to boot - you have to get a room in this area!!
Enjoy!
We upgraded to a Courtyard view - Room 4019 and it was worth every penny. Being able to sit on the balcony with a coffee first thing and watch the resort come to life.
I LOVE the Wilderness Lodge and would stay there every trip given the choice

This is the view from room 3143
We loved this room as it had a lift near to our room going down to the pool and was not far from the main lobby.:)
We absolutely loved this hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it.
The staff were so lovely.:)

I think the rooms on the 7th floor are concierge and you'll pay extra for that service. Also many of the rooms on the 6th and 7th floors have "enclosed" balconies. So if you like to sit out, you're not going to be able to see any view, personally I'd avoid them.
We've had both woods view and courtyard view over the years, I prefer the woods view for the peace and quiet, while my DW prefers to people watch from the courtyard view.
Some of my pictures are posted at the link below, they might give you an idea of what to expect. I'll post some more when I get a chance and put room numbers against the views.
Cheers.

Make sure you have a meal in the resturant in the lobby area ;)
