Hi, I want to book a room at the Hard Rock Hotel for one night, next August 08. There will be 2 adults and 3 children. When I input info on Universal booking page it only comes up with breakfast for 2 at the Kitchen - why can't I book for 5?, is it because you only book for the adults? (even though my kids will be 16,14 and 10 and will probably have to pay adult price anyway) Help!!!

I tried to do the same, I think the rooms only take 4.

No, you can book up to 5, as you can get a rollaway bed.

I presumed that the adults would get the breakfast and the children would pay a reduced rate!!, but not sure.We stayed last year but didn't do breakfast we did have 5 in a room. I think you pay extra for the roll away but we didn't have one when we arrived in the room and the little one always gets in bed with us anyway so we just paid the standard rate. :)

Breakfast for 2 adults is included in the price - if you have more than 2 in the room you have to pay for breakfast for the extra people.
You can definitely have 2 ad/3 ch in a room ...

We had 4 in a room this August but booked a rollaway bed as DD & DS didn't want to sleep in the same bed. The bed just fit DS who's 15 & taller than me (then again most people are taller than me!!!!!!). I think we paid £12 extra for the bed.
When you check in you get 2 vouchers (per day) for breakfast & have to pay for the kids in the Restaurant. We had a great breakfast in THe Kitchen & didn't need lunch in the parks.

Thanks for everyones replies - a couple more questions! Do you book the rollaway bed with the room or when you get there, and also what time do the universal parks open - is it like Disney when you are supposed to get there early - I'm thinking will we have much time to eat a big breakfast?

Parks opened at 9am when we were there last August and think that is standard. Don't forget you get FOTL passes so that is just like having a fast pass to all the rides, so everything can be done much quicker than at Disney. Arriving a little later probably won't make a lot of difference. :)

The beauty of FOTL is that you don't really need to get there that early so it is a good idea to stay there at the end of your trip.
The breakfast at the kitchen is pretty good but I don't think the rate with b/fast saves you much money . The 10 yr old will def eat half price and you might be able to swing it for the 14 year old.
