We've just stayed 4 nights at HRH, and found the walk to the parks so quick and pleasant that we want to stay again
But this time want to try another hotel.....so my question is HRH the closest?
I quite fancy The Royal Pacific hotel because of the beach etc.......are their any opinions out there? and is it much further away from the parks than HRH.
I suppose we should have checked it out whilst we were there DOH!
many thanks for any advice or opinions (good or bad :thumbs-up )

HRH is the closest :)
My mam struggled with the walk from RPR but you can always get the boat :D

I didn't think RPR was too far, we walked twice, and got the boat twice and it was a pleasant enough walk.

thanks Bev.... dont want to rely on boat/bus as that is what put me off Disney this year :( RPR seems a nice hotel for DD (age 4) dont fancy doing HRH again.

the beach area looks ok at rpr,but the water is full of algae.the boat driver was telling someone when we were there that they used to do water skiing on the lake, but the water was now unsafe.the pool area is lovely.we loved rpr and would love to stay again for longer.good kids facillities.the boats come regularly,we never had more than a 5min wait for them.it wasnt at all like the wait or the que for the disney transportation,it was very relaxing. mo.

When we stayed at HRH DH & I NEVER walked to the parks!!!!!!!! The kids did occasionally or used the rickshaws, but i just loved the boat ride!

This was in August & always got on the 1st boat.

We were there in October, and if the boat was in then we took it, but if not then we walked - it's not 'too far' to walk at all. In fact, considering that the boat drops you off between the 2 parks, it's not a massive savings to use the boat.

Definitely not too far to walk - we had no issues but my mam did - and the HRH is a lot closer.
Lovely pool area, nice restaurant, good offerings in the Club Lounge, walk along the path to the Parks was pleasant (though it was cold the day we stayed), had to wait about 20 mins for a boat (several HRH & PBR boats came & went while we were waiting). Would stay there again but prefer HRH

RPR is closest to IOA, HRH is closest to USO, but that being said the difference is pretty negligible, even PBH is only 12 mins away walking or 18 mins strolling

ahhhh thank you for that....IOA was little bit more of a walk from HRH so it makes no odds really.
I generally dont like staying in the same hotel twice...unless I REALLY like it :thumbs-up

Staying here for the 3rd time next year, and the resort and pool is excellent . The walk is probably about 7mins taking it easy, quicker walking than waiting on the boat.
search here to check the walkway out here.

Sure
- DH & I preferred the rooms (larger) and decor (RPR was too dark)
- DN (16) loved the theming
- DDs (11 & 6) loved the pool slide
