Has anyone any ideas for Xmas Dinner in floriday - we are staying in International Drive and are planning on maybe going to Islands of Adventure on Xmas day - what is the eating like at the park or are we better trying to book something in International Drive. Would we have to book this before we fly out on the 15th December or should we be ok to book once we arrive.

Hi
Christmas is going to be busy. I would book anything that you are wanting to do before you go. This will save disappointment when you get there and find it's fully booked.
I have not been to IOA on Christmas day, but have been to a Disney park and it can get full quickly. We had our Christmas dinner at 'Ohana at the Polynesian Resort.
Mythos might be a good place to eat Christmas dinner.
Have fun planning your trip.

Not been myself (yet ;) ) but The Renaisance Hotel (opposit Seaworld) has been recommended for Christmas day.
I have done MK on Christmas day (never again :nonono: )
and I have done Universal, which was no where near as bad as Disney, althugh still very busy.
Last year we just opened our presents, had a swim, then went of to the Gaylord Palms for lunch.

City walks which is immediately outside I O A has many restaurants maybe they would give you more choice than inside the park.

we have booked chef mickeys for xmas day. booked it 180 days in advance. to make sure we got in. wherever you go don't chance it, book before you go, to save dissapointment and worry of where to go.

If you want traditional British Christmas food try the George & Dragon at the top of international Drive near to Wet And Wild.

The Rennaisance no longer does the Christmas or any other time champagne buffet apparently.
I would go for the Gaylord one!
