Jiko - loved the food and the atmosphere, Boma was just way to chaotic for me, very rushed, totally packed out, plates left stacked on tables, serves run ragged, not an experience I would wish to repeat!

We really enjoyed Boma even though it was a buffet.I felt the surroundings were slightly more upmarket than your average buffet. Never been to Jiko so unfortunately can't compare. :)

We've never done Jiko, we like Boma, but restaurant is very dark and as it is a buffet it feels like no one ever really sits down at the same time. Food is very tasty though. It is nice to get there early and you can go out the back and see the animals.

Have done both. Boma ok for a meal if hungry - food is good - but all the atnosphere of a canteen. Jiko a really special experience. We sat at the 'Cooking Place' and chatted to the chefs. Food was amazing - best meal of a 24 night holiday.

We've only done Jiko and we had a really lovely relaxed meal there - the food was excellent and the service very good too. We're not great fans of buffets as it somehow always seems a bit too disjointed for me and I often feel I haven't had a dining experience - good though if you want to try lots of different dishes that you may not have tried before and wouldn't want to order as a full entree. Don't suppose that really helps much!!

Boma gets my vote (see day 4 of my trippie for why ;)) We didn't really like Jiko but I know many others do, it's a very different dining experience either way.
