Our First Day - What To Do?

Hi,

I was wondering what we should do on out first day. I really wanted to go to MK and give the kids (and the missus) a bit of the disney sparkle - but it is morning EMH that day and the last thing I want to subject them to is loads of crowds on the first morning.

So I have narrowed my choices down to AK or MGM (oh sorry Disney Studios or something!!!), Epcot is ruled out coz my parents dont like it and I will sneak it in later in the holiday ;)

What do you reckon would be the best park to do on the first day for a few hours, out of AK or MGM?

Well, I would still go to Magic Kingdom personally, but I'd just get there for opening and then leave early - but if you are dead set against it, then I'd opt for Animal Kingdom because it's good to get there nice and early cause the animals are more lively.

If I am calculating your Countdown correctly, then you are talking about a Thursday in May??? I think MK should be absolutely fine, even with the EMH - May is not generally a busy time, and neither are Thursdays, Monday or Saturday I would worry about but I think Thurs should be fine.

I would agree that MK could still be an option. Don't forget you are likely to be up early so getting there for opening should be easy and you can be out by lunchtime if you feel it's getting busy. Maybe a character breakfast would be an idea followed by a walk round and a few rides then you could do something else in the afternoon.

think we would try MK too, always seems the right thing to do, and as the others have said, it should be a bit quieter in may, or how about finding something to do in the morning, and going to MK around lunch or just after.
