We are going for the first time next October with 2 boys aged 8 and 5.
I have read very differing accounts, and am unsure whther to book or not.

Anyone been? Would small boys love it?

we went in august with dd aged 13 and dd aged 11, we all had a really good time , the food ribs and chicken was served in buckets and was really good, you can have free wine and beer all night, the entertainment was very good and the cm got the whole audience involved.

i think they would have a good time

We went in Sept, with 2 kids 13 and 15 and the Grand parents and TBH I wasn't looking forward to it and thought it would be too corney for us, BUT it was honestly one of the best evenings we had :) and we all really enjoyed it. At the end of the evening they bring round washboards etc so everyone can join in with the sing along, we ended up showing an American family next to us how to play the spoons! which caused much hilarity. One tip though, take a fleece or cardi as it gets quite chilly if you are sat towards the rear of the hall.

We quite enjoyed our evening here. Wouldn't go back as we have now experianced it.Thought it was OK and the best of the dinner shows(Mickeys bbq and spirit of Aloah). :)

Done this 4 times and always really enjoyed it. The food is good old cowboy grub - mashed potatoes, ribs, chicken etc. and was really nice. The show is really funny - good old vaudeville type of entertainment. Will probably do it again next year!

Hi
We did hoop de doo in October DD age 10 really loved it especially the wash boards. She thought the jokes were really funny, good interaction with the audience, they even came upstairs off the stage. We were seated upstairs, after getting a good soaking standing in the rain waiting to go in we were really cold with the air conditioning, a good night but too short.

The food is good, mostly the same as you'd get at Trails End next door (for a lot less money). The show is fun, though - and worth seeing at least once. At least to me!
