dont know the actual capacity, but i know that on a normal peak season day the average attendance is around 60,000 - 65,000. So, obviously dates like christmas day, july 4th etc it will be much busier than this... this is when the park will close because it is 'full'.
compared to this, disneys animal kingdom, which is the largest of the 4 walt disney world theme parks, averages around 30,000 guests per day in peak season.
when you bear in mind that there are only 57,000 cast members in walt disney world, this is a LOT of guests!!!

I've been told that the absolute capacity is 100000 after which they close the turnstiles and the parking lots.

Lots and lots, ;) ;) :pgig: :pgig:
On the Keys to the Kingdom Tour they told us there was a number after which the Fire Marshal would not allow any more guests in but that there are different limits to the number of people they will allow in depending on the time of the year (eg, in the hottest months they'll allow less people in as it'd be more uncomfortable for people to be nearer each other than in cooler months).

I can't believe AK is the biggest. Ok, if you include the safari area which people can't walk around, but it seems the closest and most cramped to me. Maybe it's just the design of it.

yes, it is including the kilimanjaro safari - in fact, you can fit the entire magic kingdom inside the space of the safari. and you can fit epcot, mgm and mk inside DAK.... its huuuuuge lol
