Hello all
DH and I went to Porto from Sun to Wed last week. Had a brilliant time going to quite a few port caves and also a port school! Now I know exactly which port I like - it used to be which ever was on offer in Tesco!! :pgig: Now I know it's a 20 year old Tawny - but what ever is on offer is good too!
We stayed in the Grand Hotel de Porto - right on a pedestrianised street full of shops (L'Occitane and Schwarovski next door!) and we were walking distance from many of the touristy bits. Although there was a fair trek back up from the caves as they are down by the river. :confused2 Plenty of buses and taxis though.

It's a standing joke with us now that we ALWAYS get rubbish views from our hotel bedroom window. This was no exception!!!

But we weren't in it much - not when there's all this to see!

As I said we walked miles - usually uphill and found some great places for tasting port!
