My hubby has just brought something up which i think anyone going to NY or anywhere come to think that may find useful.
I thought i should post that whilst in New York a few months ago, we noticed something that i am sure some folk are familiar with. We ate at the local diner, during the meal (as we where going out sight-seeing) my hubby put his sunglasses and his very expensive SLR camera on the table, ( i know we should have put it in a bag but we didnt), just before out waitress came to give us our final bill, she came over asked if we were ok,no other reason as she had just came over and asked if we wanted more coffee, and threw a cloth napkin straight over my hubbys glasses and camera, both me and my hubby both saw this, i never noticed what it covered but my hubby did, it covered it complete. My hubby removed it promptly and the waitress looked over and noticed. Whilst we were leaving a young man came in and asked if a mobile phone had been left on the table, whilst he was eating, he seems to think he had left it, they did retrieve it. It may all be innocent but we think otherwise. So its just a note of caution, if someone chooses to cover your items up on the table with a napkin, when it seems its purposefully done, be aware.
