When will they realise they are here to make our lives easier and not harder :mad2: .
I have lost count in the last few weeks on how many times i have phoned or emailed them.
They over charged us. They have got most of my hours over the next 9 days wrong.
The carer went sick (nobody's fault,i understand this) but they would phone after 10am on a daily basis to say they had no cover for that day :mad2: which was a great surprise as they should of been in at 7:10 am.
I emailed and phoned them several times last week to sort out my hours but they never got back to me.
I had a rude letter asking for my christmas hours. They said i had not reponded to thier letter dated 10/10/07. I had done as i said i did not want anyone from 7th Dec to 7th Jan.
It makes you wonder if it would just be easier to get on with it myself.

next time they send you a letter reply by email asking for a read receipt thats what i do and then I know they have received it and they can't say to the contrary.
can you look around for another agency, I was given a name of a good one but they are in cumbria but they did say they covered London, unsure but think they only do 24 hr care though.
we are having a meeting (following on from our complaint) in the next couple of weeks about starting with a new agency . TBH I could see if far enough, know deep down I need to do it as I am getting exhausted doing the work myself. catch 22 really get stressed when agencies are involved and knackered if they aint

I always ask for a reply to let me know they have the email. I did not get any to these so sent them another asking if they had them and why they had not responded.
I know what you mean by needing help due to being exhausted but the stress they cause you.
Hope your meeting goes well.
I am thinking of taking someone on privatly after new year at a fraction of the cost but this will come with its own problems.
I was hoping to start a night a week as DD often has her seizures then and this is tiring as you never go back to sleep with worry. But with they way they are and the cost of £200 a night i think i will need to just be tired  .

Put a complaint in to Social Services and/or your Care Manager if you have one. If you still dont get no statisfaction threaten them with a complaint to CSCI (Care Standards Agency) and that will get their **** in gear.

Thanks all.
They finally got back to me but they said to our carer that i put in a last minute request for earlier start on friday :mad2: :mad2:
I put it in October. They just did not read it properly.

Our carers are great but their administration is pants. We just had 2 identical letters from our agency asking about Xmas hours. Neither had the correct address on them, fortunately we have a postie who is a bit psychic! Then another arrived addressed to a different client but sent to our address. We are constantly having carers turning up at the wrong times or on days we've cancelled them when DS is away.
You just have to keep on complaining, but it does wear you down. Hope you can sort them out eventually.
