Its good to see they are sticking with the British!
Didn't it used to be the legendary Walter Kronkite?!

When does it re-open?
Walter Cronkite, then Jeremy Irons, now Dame Judi. I was rather hoping it would be Patrick Stewart as one rumour had said, but Dame Judi will do a great job I'm sure.

Beautiful clear speaking voice - what more could they want?? She is brilliant in Cranford.
Cool! Any idea when the preview days are?
I didn't expect that! I will miss Jeremy murmuring in my ear, though ;)
It's nice to see a lady narrator :)
While I loved the existing narration (and the whole ride come to that) I never figured out why they hired a Brit and then got him to do a sort of mid-Atlantic accent.

Yep and it has never been the same since.
Bring Walter back and the song Tomorrows child.
:)
Tomorrow's Child.... ahhhhh... love that song.

When did Jeremy Irons appear? I last managed to ride SSE in 98, and I'm sure it was Cronkite then.....

It'll be nice to have a woman's voice for a change!

Having done some research today (I'm that bored at work) I see that Irons turned up in 1994, at the same time as Tomorrow's Child disappeared.
Think I can find an mp3 of tomorrow's child anywhere online? Not a sniff...
I've got it on CD, but it's quite an old release.
It was amazing to stand in Epcot on the 1st of October this year at Epcot's 25th Anniversary celebrations and hear songs like that being played in the plaza again.

The rumors are that it could open around the 15th. I have actually seen both the 15th and 18th mentioned. I would say around that time.
I mentioned that I'd stopped by a couple of days ago, and the CM's haven't been trained on it yet. At least they weren't at that time. I plan to go on opening day to get pics for my site as well.

Maybe we should start a bring back Tomorrow child campaign!
Its not as good as Listen with the Land though, they should bring that back to. Altogether 'Lets listen to the land we all love...'

It seems SSE was open today for some early previews, feedback on other websites is positive. Touchscreen, new anamatronics, new narration and some general scene changes, new costumes for staff, and a closing exhibit by Siemens (not seen yet)...sounds great!
I suppose then we will see a full opening in a few weeks.

I missed it by about 2 minutes last night - the preview was from about 8 - 9.
