Hi all,
Chris is 30 in February and i would love to surprise him and take him to the Lake District for the weekend pref Windermere.
We have the two children but also a little cocker spaniel called Stitch. Just wondered if you knew of any dog freindy places to stay and also activities we can do with the dog while we are there.
Thanks
Sarah

Hi, We rented a house on a farm near Barrow in Furness last year, it was on quite a long narrow road but ideal for visiting Bowness and the surrounding areas. They allow one dog and the house had its own private garden which was ideal for us as our boxer runs off whenever she gets the chance. I can check the name and address if you are interested. Our two kids loved all their animals on the farm.

I used www.k9directory.co.uk (http://www.k9directory.co.uk) to find dog friendly places. I booked a self catering cottage that allowed dogs with cumbrian properties when I went but I did find a really nice hotel that would have let my Radi stay. The pubs and shops are very dog friendly particularly in Keswick & Ambleside. One place asked if my dog was well-behaved and sits quietly & when I replied yes, they let us eat in the bar area. It's a lovely area and everyone is so friendly. Hope you find somewhere.
