I am lucky to have won 2 return tickets to Paris so as I'm the one that actually won them I'v decided to do a quick 2 night trip to DLP-DH wasn't too keen but then again he didnt fancy Paris either!
So, been looking at hotel prices :omg: and I'm thinking of the L'Elysee Val De Europe, mainly 'cos its near to Parks/Shopping Mall & Train station!
Anyone stayed here? Mixed reviews on Trip Advisor!
Would love a Disney Hotel but don't want Santa fe or Cheyenne(Been there, done them!) & the others just seem far too much £ for a quick cheapy trip!
It's just me & DH going(Shhhh-kids think we're just off to Paris!LOL!)
It will be really great to do Disney minus kids!! ;)
Any suggestions?
Just also had a look at Dream Castle hotel-this looks nice to!
Thanks x

We stayed at the Holiday Inn. It was great. Room was a decent size, nice bathroom, only downside was the wine was a bit expensive!! We booked direct through them, worked out a bit cheaper.

Only ever stayed in Disney hotels, mainly for the convenience and atmosphere. True, the cost is higher, but we absolutely love them. If it's only the two of you and the travel cost is paid for, why not spoil yourselves a bit? You can always say you were checking the hotel out to see if it was worthwhile taking the whole family :tounge: ;)

What ever you decide have a great time there

How was The Sequoia Lodge when you stayed there? Not too sure if it's more of a 'summer' type hotel than winter? Its the most reasonably prices hotel in the Mid range, so would we like it do you think, bearing in mind we're just 2 adults so no kids in tow, going 8th-10th Feb when it'll be very cold!! :omg:

Also, anyone know if they ever lower the room rate nearer to departure dates...If so , we could risk it & wait see if we can get a late deal on The New York or even Disneyland Hotel!! ;)

I haven't stayed at Sequoia Lodge so can't really comment but they won't lower the room rate. The only deal you may get is the standard '3 nights for the price of 2' etc and don't forget that your park tickets are included in the price if you book direct with Disney.

It's been a few years since I've been to DLP, but I've stayed at the Santa Fe - never again. It was falling to bits!
I got a good deal to the Newport Bay Club and it was very nice. The lobby area was lovely and I think all rooms had a balcony. It also had it's own bus to the park so you didnt have to stand. By the time the bus arrived at the Santa Fe, it was splitting at the seams!

I would just go for the best you can afford onsite. You can splash out as the trip isnt costing you anything. Look out for my paving stone in front of the Mickey shaped hedge!!
