I know American airlines have flights from manchester, have you tried the airport website (http://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/manweb.nsf)

Utilise Expedia.co.uk and search for the required dates. This will give you the chance to see prices for direct (recommended) and indirect. If there is a special offer on through Virgin or BA, or one of the USA airlines it will definitely come up on Expedia as well.

The flight time to and from Boston is relatively short so I would probably only look at direct.

Best of luck. I got London to Atlanta with BA for £299 during middle of March on Expedia.

BA often do great deals on Boston Flights - have a look on Christmas day if you get a chance - they usually do a Sale around then!
