View Full Version : Belated Silver Wedding trip - New York Part 1 (photos)

DH and I celebrated our Silver Wedding on the 29th of May. DH also celebrated his 50th Birthday in July.

An e-mail from BA offering cheap flights if booked within 24 hours led to us booking a trip to New York. Initially it was three of us Myself, DH and DD16. The following day DD19 decided to come with us. We booked flights from Aberdeen to Heathrow and then JFK. Much deliberating was made about hotels and eventually we decided on the Westin, Times Square.

We booked from 30th November until 6th December.

DD celebrated her 17th birthday there on 3rd December and this was the complimentary cake from the hotel.

It was a fantastic hotel in a great location and the staff were extremely helpful. We would definitely stay there again :grin:

I'm sure you had a great time Lynn. Westin looks a great hotel and no doubt about the location. Nice photo's.

You are soooo lucky, I love New York. I had such a good time when we went for new years eve 2 years ago.
The tree at the Rockefella centre is amazing

LOL!!! thought it was something more exciting!!! She looks very much like my DS's girlfriend....couple of times I have seen photos of her and thought there was a resemblance! Like your DD she has expensive tastes too!!
