I have had a quote to stay at these apartments for early June 2008 for 5 nights including flights with Delta

Has anyone stayed here before who could give their opinion on them? The quote is for a 2 bedroomed apartment.

I have tried to get other quotes for a comparison but not many agents, websites seem to have either availability for the date I want or don't offer these apartments at all.

I have also tried to book direct and then sort out the flights separate but the official website for the apartments is showing no availability.

Can anyone suggest any other places I could try to get a quote for them from.

Many thanks.

Funny you should post this, but last night I was on the phone to a friend in NI who had just stayed in these apartments in NY. She said they were absolutley fantastic and so central to everything. I think she said they were on 49th Street which is a great location. There were cooking facilities and the whole place was very clean. She loved them and wants to stay there again next year. I wish I had asked her more about them now.

Thanks for replying Margaret.

I have also heard that these apartments are really good and I have looked on TripAdvisor and the majority of the posts are good.

It would just be nice if I could get a quote from another company so I can compare with what I have already been quoted.

We stayed for about 4 nights about 6yrs ago. From what i remember they were basic, good location, in-need of a paint job, and like all accommodation in NYC - small. Subsequent visits to NYC we have stayed in the Waldorf - you gets what you pay for.

I stayed here two years ago and have booked again for January! The location is excellent. You are in the heart of NY city and literally two minutes walk from Times Square. A Subway station at the end of the street takes you everywhere else. You really couldn't get any better.

The apartments are very clean but often described as "basic". Well it's the kind of basic I am perfectly happy with and I am sure you would be too unless you are accustomed to living in 5 star hotels!

You have a cooker, a fridge a coffee maker and a TV with 30 plus channels, heating / air con! Two double beds, a make down sofa bed and full ensuite facilities with a hairdryer. What more do you need? While it doesn't have the trendiest of interior decor it is perfectly acceptable and, as I'm sure you've discovered, very competatively priced even when compared to a bog standard chain hotel. I would definitely go for it.

Thanks for the responses.

001 Atlantis - could I ask who you booked your stay through please as I would like to get a comparison cost :)

they were across the road from where I stayed a few weeks back, less than 2 minutes walk from Times Square. Didn't go inside, but they did have a great Xmas tree on the outside - photo below!

Hi Baggie Bird

I booked through Radio City Apartments web site. However if you google "Radio City Apartments" you will come up with a few other sites which deal with them and will let you make a price comparison. TripAdvisor.com is also a good bet. I suspect however that the best price is obtained direct.

Thanks for your help everyone - I think I am going to book it - it is a good price I have been quoted and the place does look good.

I did manage to get another price and it worked out more expensive so I will go with the original quote.

Once again many thanks for helping me make my mind up :)
New York here we come :spin:
