Hi, I was going to book a room this morning for one night next August, but it asks whether I want an upper floor or lower floor room - has anyone any preferences?
Also, when I was looking before, you were given the option of booking breakfast, which doesn't come up now - should I try and book it(maybe over the phone) or is it better to just get brekkie in the parks? There are 5 of us - 2 adults and 3 (big)kids!
Regarding the floor, I requested high floor for our visit in August, and was given a room on the lowest floor. The room was really dark too, we tried to change it, but they said it was the last room with a sofa bed that they had. By all means give a preference, but there's no guarantee you're going to get it I'm afraid.
I always prefer to be on the top floor if poss (as long as its not a sky scraper, lol) I have booked hRH for 3 nights and requested a high floor.

We've stayed on both high and low floors and there wasn't a great deal of difference. We usually request high floor wherever we stay purely because we like to be on the highest floor so there's no clomping around above us!

We always request a high floor purely because we live in a bungalow so anything above the ground floor makes a nice change :)

I'd prefer an upper floor, you would probably get a better view.

when we went in August (just for 1 night) we requested a room on an upper floor. When we checked in at 8.30am there was a room availabe straight away on a lower floor which they offered us, but we decided to wait . we got a room on the 6th view with a view of the pool & IOA. Soom of the rooms are on the ground floor had a path going past or face onto the pool.
We booked via the website & booked the bed & breakfast rate. we had a great breakfast in The Kitchen & didn't need to stop for lunch.
We holidayed with 2 teenagers & as they didn't want to share a bed we also booked a rollaway bed which I thinkwas £12 extra.

Hi there stayed at HRH in Sept, Val booked it for us. Val requested a higher floor and when we booked in at 9am the room was ready and on the 6th floor, room 617 to be precise, my mum has just informed me. we had views of the gardens where the water taxi's came in and out. TBH what ever room you get they are all great, When i ever go back I would stay there again any room any floor.

We had an upper floor last year, our room was fantastic, with great views.
