All, looking for some expericed park tripper to help me out.

We're visiting orlando for the first time next year (1st July - 22nd July) 3 weeks whoo hoo..lol with myself/wife and 2 kids (W32,ME35,DD14 & DS10)...staying in kissimee area..with hire car.

So far looking at tickets, parks ect i have done the short list...

14day Disney Ultimate Tickets..£624 for 4 best price i've seen, not booked yet

Discovery Cove with Swim + 14days (I think) for Busch Gardens, Seaworld & the new water park Aqu Park..£668 less 10% for 4, best price I've seen. Not booked yet

and 7 days unlimited hopper to Universal & IOA - booked $87 each. x4

Which I think should cover us nicely, if you think i've missed any thats I really should visit let me know.

What I'm needing help on, is how do I map this out over 3 weeks? i'd also like to do a bit of shopping nothing to major. What parks to visit first/last , what waterparks to do? etc. Also 4th July anything i need to watch out for there?

Seriously need some help as I've not got a clue.

any helpfull comments would be well appriciated.

Thank you.

BTW this forum is just fab..

Hi

Welcome to the Dibb.

As far as planning I always make a list, write it all down first all you want to do see and where you want to eat.

Then put it to the days you are there and give yourself some freedays and shopping days.

Take a good hard look at it then change it at least 5 times lol.

You do ned to book your ADR 180 days in advance to make sure you get in.

Don't book your tickets yet take a good look around the web your cost for DC seaworld and bush seems a lot.

I would also go for the Disney annual pass as you get lots of discounts with those tickets.

Do an excel spreadsheet and go from there.
If you need any help please feel free to post again

I am not an expert but this seems like a LOT of park tickets, make sure you will use all of them before you buy. Bev is a real ticket expert (she will prob be along in a bit!!) and she or another seasoned park person will advise you far better than me..

YOu will need to book your ADRs VERY soon so have a think about which ones you fancy - there is an ADR calculator on here somewhere that will tell you the dates to ring etc.

welcome to the Dibb!

Where are you staying?

hi and welcome.

what we tend to do is sit down, work out which parks we want to visit, and which restaurants we wnt to eat at, then get the ADR's booked, once they are booked you can really start planning.. all the parks you talk about are in orlando besides busch which close to tampa on the coast, so that would be a day out. the 14 day wdw mean you can park hop, so thats a help, you could go to MK in the morning, come out and go to one of the other dis parks for lunch and stay the afternoon, then nip back to MK later, all using the Disney transport system.
maybe an idea to get a big sheet of paper, write the dates/days down when you are there, then start writing down where you want to go........day one=MK/Epcot/MK...day two= universal.
then add where you want to eat those days, if you are like us, you will start with that, then get loads of crossing outs, and after about 4 attempts, you will be ready.
sounds so military doesn't it, but it does work.

you are certainly on the right site to get your questions answered.

happy planning and happy dibbing

Apart from all the great info you'll get from this forum I would highly recommend the 'Brits guide to Orlando 2008' by Simon & Susan Veness ISBN 9780572033811 (look on Bookbutler or similar ;) )

Have fun planning!

Thanks for the info so far....

I'm having a rethink about disney....we have decided we do not want to do any of there water parks as doing the one is enought for us. We prefer the parks more.
So based on that I was thinking of the possably of buying 4 10 day magic your way tickets with hopper options (will these tickets allow access to the extra magical hours?) . Can't find the price thou.

My other thinking was 3x 14day premier tickets with 1x AP (get free parking). Until i know the price of 'magic you way' i can work out the best cost.

EDIT: Found the prices, I'm better off getting 4 14day ultimate tickets at £167 each and just pay for parking as an AP Premier is around £320ish so am going to save £50-70/$100-$140 overall based on parking for 14 days at £84

I would personally recommend booking either 1 or 2 nights onsite at Universal for when you are going ,to get the FOTL priveleges , would make a big difference to your days at the parks, i.e 1 night =2 days FOTL or 2 days= 3 days FOTL. the day you check in until park closes the day you check out
