wheelchairs & scooters

Can you go straight onto rides with them? is their a list of ones which you can and cannot? Its just that we were thinking of hiring a scooter whilst out there as we dont want to struggle, although we will have dh wheelchair too.

If you have a look at the accessibility guides linked in the sticky at the top of this forum there is detailed information on which rides can accommodate wheelchairs and ECVs. You can ask for a printed accessibility guide from Guest Relations in any park and the information is posted on park maps and at ride entrances.

just back ,mum hires a scooter shes 85 Tues ,loves every minute and they are so good at disney dont make you que and if poss will always put the scooter or chair on board, done the parks with both ,but mum can walk a little so can transfer on to rides if need be,if I can help with anything pm me.

I know its cheaper to hire off-site if needed for the entire holiday but how easily can you transport them in the hire car? Do they fit it boot ok?

Most scooters come apart or fold down for transportation but you'd still need a car with a large boot and someone strong enough to lift it in. An alternative is to hire a vehicle adapted with a ramp so you can just drive a scooter right in, some companies will do a special deal if you hire the vehicle and a scooter together.
