How is Blizzard beach in February.
I have only been once and did not stay long.
I found it hard on my eyes due to the brightness of the white combined with the sun.
I only have reactive prescription glasses as i cant see very well without them.
I dont like wearing them in the water etc in case i damage them.
Any suggestions about how to overcome this would be welcome.
Also i notice Typhoon Lagoon is on rehab in Feb so i will have to go to blizzard beach.
I assume the crowds will be bad due to only one park water park being open.will it be warm enough, will i be able to see.
Im talking myself out of it as you can see.
How can i be persuaded that i would be ok to go.:( :( :( :(
Its ok to go!!!!! lol...:):)
I've been in Feb (on Presidents Day) and the crowds were fine, really, and it was lovely and warm :) I wear my prescription sunglasses in the water as I cant see without them either, not had a problem so far......
then again its my fave water park anyway....:)

Ditto to everything Angel said.
We'll be there again this Feb, especially as its been TL only thats been open the last 2 trips. (it used to be both parks open Presidents week and 1 the week before and the other the week after!)
I tuck my glasses down my cossie when coming down the flumes and put them back on at the bottom!!!
lol Mo...never thought of that!!!
Since I can't swim I am limited as to how many slides I can go on.I checked out a particular slide with a lifeguard, who said I would be OK and it wasn't too deep at the bottom. Well it was and I sank like a stone, my glasses fell off and hit the bottom and a very handsome lifeguard had to rescue me and my glasses. I was underwater blowing bubbles like a guppy fish, unable to see anything and panicking!
The children laughed their heads off, I cried and the crowd had gathered for a good laugh. I was mortified.
The moral of the story is-learn to swim if you can't, and stick those specs down your front!!
PS: Haven't a clue about BB in February!

I know how it feels.
On my first day in Florida ever back in 1989 we went to the Wet n Wild.
I was so excited i swam right up to the wall in the wavepool.
It was at this point that i found i was unable to swim back because i kept getting dragged back to the wall.
I stupidly decided to give up rather than swallow my pride and just sank.
The next thing i knew was a lifeguard hauling me out of the water onto the side.
They had stopped the wave machine and about 500 people were staring at me lying on the side of the pool.
I spent the next hour as white as a ghost before venturing into the water again.

Buy yourself a glasses sports strap from any optician, i brought one to use when we went do DC last year as i cant see a damn thing without them. If they can survive the dolphin swim i think they can survive just about anything. I also use them when riding roller coasters as i have a fear of them flying off never to be seen again.
