Las Vegas Buffet - beetle in Jello

Greetings from sunny Florida. Just a warning to anyone not to visit the Las Vegas Buffet on 192 between markers 10 and 11. We had a nasty experience on Saturday 5th January. While finishing a mediocre meal - nothing like the buffets of Las Vegas - our 9yr old daughter let out a scream. The Jello which she had just got from the buffet had a beetle inside - had been made with beetle in, it had not just landed from outside. After a heated argument with the owner, who threatened to call the Police - an action we welcolmed - finally got a full refund after other potential customers started walking out.
Luckily none of our party suffered any upset stomachs in the following few days.

We went there in 2000 and thought it was disgusting then. When we got back we found that it was on a list of restaurants NOT to visit way back then.

You really should complain to the enviromental health out there. This place can only get away with it while people do nothing, they don't care if you never go back cos there's thousands more like you arriving next week. At least none of them will be dibbers though ;)

when we went there DH saw a waitress picking a piece of jello up off the counter top and throwing it back into the rest :omg:

Since returning I have made an official complaint to the local Public Health - who issue restauranct licences. I have asked to be kept informed with their investigation though they have yet to contact me.
