We're planning on buying APs for WDW and Universal as we'll be going in Oct '04 and Aug '05.

Now I'm pretty sure that we can purchase them in advance and they're valid from first use? Have I read that right?
We'll be going in '06 again but renewal rates are obviously cheaper so I'm assuming we can renew straight away and have up to a year to activate them?

Also DD will be 9 on both the '04 & '05 trips, so will be able to renew her pass to an adult one in '06 or will we have to pay full adult price?

Thank you

Sorry, but I believe that to get the special renewal rate the AP will start from the day after the previous one expires.

If you purchase a new AP then it is valid for 12 months after you activate it.

If you renew an existing AP then it is valid for 12 months starting the day after the old pass expires.

If a child turns 10 whilst holding a child AP then Disney will upgrade that child AP to an Adult AP for no charge, however if the child is 10 when renewing an AP you would have to pay the Adult price.

Ah I guess renewing is out then as they'll be a gap in between APs.

Thanks guys :)
