We have booked dinner at the Contemporary Hotel to watch the fireworks at MK - apparently you get an amazing view and the lights are dimmed with the accompanying music piped in :)

Not sure about insdie the park but sure someone else will be able to help you xx

We went to the contemporary (cal. grill)for dinner and to see the fireworks it was really lovely and such a special occassion, the meal was also very 'romantic' too ate in a small room at the back of restaurant with a few other couple looking on to the 7 seas lagoon lake. There was a light parade throughout our meal going around the lagoon while we ate our meal.

P.s dont ask for fries as they only do tatties!! think we said a bad word that night!

We did this in 2006. You are able to go out onto the viewing deck and they pipe the music there. It is (of course) all timed with the firework effects so you do not lose any of the magic. We went outside to warm up cos' it was freezing in the restaurant :d:

You do get a great view of the fireworks from up there, but you lose the effect that you get when standing in Main Street. The view from the top deck of the Contemporary gives you the scale of the Fireworks. The really big rockets/cannon effects are quite a way back from the castle. We are glad we did it, but I'm not sure we would rush back to the restaurant again.

We also went to Cali. Grill for a meal last year for my DH's birthday. It was a lovely meal - they seated us at a brilliant table where we could see the fireworks from inside (good job cos we were eating when they started and couldn't take advantage of the balcony). Going to go back this year and go outside for the effects.

Don't think Tinkerbell does any meet/greet things yet (but I think I've read somewhere on here that she's going to sometime soon?).

Starting to think about our ADR's for August.
Here are some we are looking at:
Spirit of Aloha dinner show
Hoop De Doo dinner show
California Grill - fireworks
Rose & Crown - illuminations
Mama Melrose or Hollywood & Vine?? - Fantasmic
Any comments good or bad would be appreciated, also advice on dining times for the fireworks/illuminations would be very helpful.
Look forward to all your responses.

We dined here twice in Sept 07 with my boys who at the time were 5 and 6. I was a little apprehensive before we went but had no need to be.
We saw lots of families there and the restaurant was fairly noisy so you can relax with little ones.

We loved it so much we tried everyday for the rest of our holiday to get a second reservation and struck lucky a few days before coming home.
Definately time your meal for the fireworks, the view is amazing!:spin:

Another place to see the fireworks is from Cinderellas Royal Table (from inside the castle) if you time your meal right you can watch the fireworks from the windows inside the castle. We left our meal at the castle just before the fireworks started so not sure of the view you would get but we had a very magical moment as when we left the castle to go outside to watch the fireworks everyone was crowded infront of the castle to see them and we got to walk down from the castle with no-one else there - difficult to explain but very nice moment - but just another place to see the MK fireworks from.

would advise ADR @ R&C for 8.00 pm , arrive about 7.15 & ask for outside table ( they try to rush you through your meal & only allow you a maximum of 2 hrs ), so 8.00 pm would tie in with illuminations
