I have just read about this on the DVC site and was wondering if anyone had heard about it?

Dawn, have heard about it, but have not tried it.

I don't think we will be giving it a go.

Am I reading it right Michelle....you get 3 meals a day and you choose if you want table or counter service? So we could have a table service breakfast and a signature evening meal and this would be 3 meals?

Thanks,

Dawn

I was reading about it on another site, and if you like the 2TS meals then it sounds like it might be a good option, or alternatively if you are happy to spend some credits on a counter service, but I think trying to eat 3 TS meals a day would be impossible!
I think if you had a buffet breakfast and tehn a 2TS for dinner, it would probably save a lot of money, and if you had a couple of counter service meals and one TS meal you would still come out ahead.

That's how I read it Dawn!

we were typing at the same time, Yes, you get 3 credits a day, and can spend them anywhere. although 2TS meals are still 2 credits.

I don't think my stomach could cope with 3 TS meals, though the 2TS credits for dinner and TS breakfast I could proabably do for a few days!

I think I will do some serious calculations for this. We have 5 nights boohed at BWV and a signature meal for each evening. I think a table service breakfast added to this with a couple of snacks during the day might make a saving.

Thanks

Yes I agree, this would be a perfect research subject for the Dibb ;)

I was thinking of adding the normal dining plan to our trip in September. Could you please tell me how much the deluxe one is per person per day please.

Can anyone tell me what date the free dining plan finishes? I was just thinking that the restaurants may be busy if the free DDP is still going on.

I think it would work for you guys as you love your 2TS meals and could then have a sit down breakfast :d:

Well we have done some rough calculations and even ordering the dearest items on the menu we think it just about comes out equal. Adding on the snacks and the mugs would bring the dining plan out as a better deal but we are just not sure that we would use them.

It might just be far easier using the DDE,

That was our concern, not being able to use all of them. We had the ordinary DDP last year for 4 nights and we struggled with that.

It does look good, but too much food for us LOL's

Thanks for doing the sums for us Dawn. Think like you we will do the DDE card instead.

Does the deluxe DP include starters?

I think this plan is only open to DVC members.

Bev, as far as I can see the Deluxe DDP does include starters.

I am not 100% on this but I think the deluxe is available to everyone, however DVC members don't have to buy tickets to have the deluxe dining plan added.
The cost is $69.99 per adult and $19.99 per child. It does include starters, but again no gratuity.

ETA, non DVC members must purchase a Disney World Vacation Package to be able to add the DDDP

If you book accommodation and park tickets through Disney they give you the option to upgrade to Deluxe
