Are you on the dining plan?
Will you be visiting anywhere offsite?
You might find that your ADRs start to rule your time if you have too many.

That would be too many for me. I am happy with my 5 over the two weeks, but then again I am staying offsite and not on the dining plan. We prefer to have flexibility, but each to their own, if you are worried you won't get a table for the places you really want, then go for it.

I would go with what you have and then cancel if you find its not working out once you are there.

you are going at a very busy time so you will need a lot.

On my first trip I had one every day and it was far too much, our next trip I will do 4 max and go with the flow.

Wow sounds fantastic :d: last year we were on the free DDP & had a table service meal every day. It was lovely to eat in so many of the nice restaurants, but as the others have said you do tend to plan your day around your ADR's :confused2 We wouldn't have done so many if we hadn't have been on the DDP as there's so many other lovely restaurants to visit in the Orlando area  We love Smokey Bones & only managed to fit that in once last time just before we headed out to the airport :( Are you going to try Bubba Gumps, Hard Rock Cafe etc we also did the Spiderman brekkie at Universal & the character interaction there was fantastic :thumbs-up

We've got about as many as you as well. We're staying on-site with no car for getting off site.

As someone else mentioned I'd keep them as they are and then cancel whilst you're out there if you decide you don't want the booking.

If you were on the DDP then i would say considering the time of year you are visiting that you would need to book for each of your TS credits.
However, as you aren't on the dining plan i would say that you may have too many.
We were on the DDP and booked loads of ADR's. We really enjoyed experiencing the different restaurants, but it was too much food and it did become a little restricting.

We are going for 3 weeks this December flying out on the 8th Dec. We are planning on booking 2 or 3 character meals and we may book a restaurant for Christmas Day if we decide not to have it at the villa. That will be it for us. We are looking forward to trying lots more restaurants off-site this time.:thumbs-up

Why not! a lot of nice places but you will be soo sick of American food by the end! hehe

Make sure you use one of those cheap numbers to ring the US - it will cost a fortune otherwise.

You know better than anyone what will work for you. We averaged one TS meal every other day, and we just couldn't have eaten any more than that but I've come to the conclusion that although we think we are quite big eaters we really aren't LOL.

As someone said ,you could find that your ADRs rule your holiday.
When we stayed at Disney 2 years ago i booked quite a few ADRs, and discovered this, but you can stick with what you have and if you do not want to go to any just call Reservations from your room phone and cancel.

Wow that's a lot of Disney restaurants if you're not on the dining plan but if you can afford it and want to do go for it! :)

We did the DDP in 2006 and had a sit down meal in Disney most days for ten days and to be honest it kind of put a dampener on our holiday. We got to experience lots of wonderful meals but felt our time was constantly rushing from one ADR to the next!

I wouldn't do so many personally but you can always cancel them when you get there if you find there are too many!

Don't forget there are a lot of fantastic restaurants offsite at Disney that are much cheaper and it's nice to experience non-Disney as well :)

Maybe the days you have two things booked may prove to be a bit too much, but I would stay if you intend to say on site all the time then it's worth having the ADR's booked. At the time of year you're going it will difficult to book TS meals when you are there but it's easy to cancel them if you decide to not go.

For me, it's too many. I would probably half it, and do one every other day. But if you want to eat TS every night, then it might be a good idea to keep the ADRs and cancel them on the day if you aren't up for it, as at least this way you know you have somewhere to eat.

I think like many of the others have said - keep the ADR's and cancel/re-arrange them as and when you want when you are there. We had the free DDP, so we booked each ADR for every day of our holiday. Whilst this was great on one hand - we had no payment for food to be made, but on the other we were structuring our day around them and sometimes cancelled them, or re-arranged them. Some resturants are really filling and the next day, you don't fancy another sit down meal.

Be aware though, that a lot of these places are quite pricey and if we had been paying for them, each meal (2 adults, 2 children) would have cost in the region of $80-100 per time! Off site, although not as convenient, would be more like $40-80 per meal.

The Disney places are really fantastic though and whatever you decide, you will have fun - especially the children. :wavey:
Hope this helps. :wavey: :wavey: :wavey:

Have you checked the prices for these places? I think with a family of 4 you might find some of them are quite expensive. They are all lovely restaurants, but you can probably feed your family for less offsite (actually not probably, you can definitely feed them for less offsite)

we did quiet a few of these resturaunts when we went in june...although not all, we are a family of six,we are not driving so we domt know how often we will be able to get off disney!this will probley be the last time we go to disney due to me losing my sight! so we decided to make this one super special....you cant put a price on memorys!!!!!

LOL, so true!

and if you are staying onsite without a car, then it's probably not worth the hassle to get offsite, so enjoy your meals !
