I would like some help please. I have McAfee installed on my PC and have updated to Version 7 of MS Browser. I think this is now interfering with my popups.

Basically when using my PC it is constantly beeping at me so that I cannot use links or use dropdowns. I have been trying to look for travel insurance and it is driving me mad!

Is there a way to go back to my previous browser? if this is the problem - I really havent got much of a clue? a real technophobic I am.

Would appreciate some advice please.
Thanks

Can't you turn the pop up blocker off?

Open McAfee, and see if you can alter the settings.

Sorry I can't check myself, but I have avast! these days, used to have McAfee and didn't really rate it. I remember being able to change things quite easily though.

Isn't IE7 in the Add/Remove programs? If it is then you will be able to remove it from there.

What about trying another browser like Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/)? You might like it.

 Do you only have the Virus guard software for Macafee or do you have the firewall software as well? If only Virus Guard then Would think of changing to AVG at grisoft.com and look for the free virus software. It downloads frequently, albeit after those who have paid for the full version, but it is good, doesn't interfere with your MS Browser and it is free!

Also just noticed that if you install the Google Toolbar (do a search to find it on Google) it gives you a button on the top of your browser to allow pop-ups on each of the sites you visit (which it remembers) and to block sites you don't want so that you don't need to mess about further into the program.. :)
