If you have Vista , windows movie maker is good and very easy to use and add your own music

I use ULEADs CD/DVD Picture Show. It's easy to use and quite versatile. It doesn't work with Vista. There are quite a few other decent programmes out there that will do a decent job.

I have both Windows Movie Maker and other software that came with the Video Cam. Much prefer Movie maker asquoted above very easy to use and quality is not an issue.

Ulead CD/DVD Picture Show, is easy to use and far more versatile than Moviemaker.

On XP DD used Windows movie maker but you can only burn the slide show onto a CD rather than a DVD. But we can still watch the discs on the computer.
On Vista she used Moviemaker and this can go onto DVDs. To make it look more professional she used My DVD maker(already installed on Vista) to make the title screens and menus.

That makes 2 of us, I've just found it this minute after reading this post!! I got a new PC last summer with Vista and have been using Windows DVD maker which also came with it. I'll give Moviemaker a go now.

I used to use Nero 7 with my previous XP machine and that worked great, but Nero 7 isn't compatible with Vista so I let it go with my old PC to my nieces.
