Can't remember how much the food was but there was quite a good choice and it was much better than the food in the caribbean beach which is in the same price range.

hi, we went to CSR in 06, there is a surcharge on the food there, not sure on %, but think it maybe 10%, assume this is done due to the conference centre. We had never stayed at a WDW hotel before staying CSR so we could not compare food quality etc.
Last year we stayed at POR, so can compare a bit more now.
Both resorts are lovely, layout of both is fantastic, transport to parks is very good at both, with POR edgeing it due to the fact you can boat it to DTD,
the main difference we found were the restaurants. IMHO, CRS comes out on top with food/restaurants. The choice we felt was much better, the set up of how you got your food and paid for it was better, In my opinion the food quality was better . OK, its a little bit more expensive, but if the food and service and set up is that bit better, then you getting what you pay for,
Like I say, this is our opinion, based on how we found the set up at the 2 resorts. I'm sure you will get the same amount of people saying that they preferred other resorts/food.

Under the new plan you would have to pay OOP for them.
