My family & I are staying at the Polynesian for our first trip to Disney.
This seems ideal for Magic Kingdom & Epcot because of Monorail, but elsewhere seems to be by bus.

I wonder if someone could help me with a couple of questions

1. We are hoping to go to hoop de doo Review - will there be transportation back to Polynesian after the show (We are on DDP and would like to go to 9.00 show). I believe we will be able to take a boat from Magic Kingdom there but unsure about arrangements to get back (with a young child I don't want to leave this to guesswork!)

2. If there is a long wait for a bus back to our resort at say Downtown disney or other resorts, can you get cabs easy and how much do they cost for trips around the complex? (and how much would you tip taxi drivers and do you tip bus drivers?)

3. Could we get a bus say from The Polynesian direct to Animal Kingdom Lodge, or do they just go to the parks?

Hiya welcome to the Dibb! :)

1. As the Hoop de Doo review is at the Fort Wilderness resort, you won't be able to get a bus from resort to resort. To be honest I'd just get a cab back, it will cost about £3-4.00 and much easier with a sleepy child. Buses will go back to the MK though and you can get on the monorail form there but it will take a while.

2. Yes you can they have Disney approved ones. We usually tip a couple of dollars above the fare.

3. No as I said above, you can get resort to resort buses, only via parks or the TTC at the Magix Kingdom.

We called them magic cabs, this is because as soon as we got off the phone the cab would be pulling up to the entrance of the hotel!
