Hi,
Although this is my first post, I have been reading everyone else's for a while now and actually getting quite addicted to the site! We are going at the end of September - 7 nights at POR, 3 night Disney cruise and 4 nights at the Tradewinds Island Grand in St Pete's. There is myself, DH, DS (8) and DD(7). Although I've been to Disney several times the kids have never been to WDW and I'm so excited - actually booked the holiday last June so it seems a very long wait!
Anyway, I've got a few questions I wanted to ask but I'll just stick to one at the moment. Starting to think about ADRs and know some I want to definitely do but it is DH's birthday while we are there and wanted to do one of the signature restuarants on that evening. Was thinking about Narcoosees so that we can see the fireworks but was wondering whether it would be suitable for the kids. I'd be grateful for any opinions.
Thanks.

I was there back in December and there were lots of children around. However I didn't enjoy my experience there. I found the food very over seasoned and in fact couldn't eat it. I did mention it and wasn't charged for it. Clare, who was with me had a bad experience - having asked for a gluten free meal, wasn't actually given one! She was not very well all night.
If you are looking for a good restaurant, The Yachtsman Steakhouse is a very good choice. owever if it's the fireworks you want, then that won't be suitable.

hi and welcome
we went to narcoossee's last september, there were quite a few families there with children around the age of yours, they all had things from the childrens menu by the look of their plates, they had chicken strips and cheese burgers with fries, think the childrens menu offers these things with mash but you can request fries.
The food was fantastic as was the service, if you can book it so that you finish just before the fireworks its great as there is a outside viewing area,
In our opinion, well worth a visit ,

We haven't been yet. We did have an ADR for last Sept but had to cancel unfortunately.
99% of the reviews are fab and the restaurant, in particular the view, is supposed to be fantastic. Children will be welcome, although it is also a restaurant used by couples for romantic evenings out.
We are hoping to try it this Dec for our adults meal while the boys are at the Neverland Club.
One restaurant i can recommend is the California Grill. This was the best meal of our trip and the view of the castle and Wishes was outstanding.:thumbs-up
I don't think you would be disappointed with any of the signature restaurants.
Welcome to The Dibb!!!!!!:spin:
I was going to suggest the California Grill as well - have you looked at the menus here on the Dibb to see what would suit your family the most?
We are definitely doing the CG in September and were going to be doing Narcoosees as well, but after reviewing the menus, not sure if my party would prefer somewhere else (Narcoosees seems very seafoody which my lot will eat but it's not first choice)

Thanks for your replies. My initial choice was the California Grill and then I decided to change to Narcoossee's - not sure why really! Might let DH look at menus and decide as it's his birthday. As we're only going to be there for 6 nights it's really difficult to decide what reservations to make - too many places, not enough time!!

If thats the case then i would make a decision based purely on the menu that suits you best. The price is very similar, you will get a great view from both restaurants, so go with the food.:thumbs-up
